Core member of the Remilia Collective—the digital art collective behind Milady Maker—Charlotte Fang responded to Buterin’s most recent tweet on Ethereum Foundation (EF) leadership. Fang asked Buterin, boldly, to “embrace Milady” in order to help Ethereum.
The remark immediately drew the attention of the NFT community, including another well-known Milady fan, Cold, who humorously suggested that possessing a Milady NFT might release its “perma curse” from Ethereum. Surprising everyone, Buterin interacted with the community by declaring he had already bought the NFT.

Acquired for 5.82 ETH, or $19,080.60 at the time of writing, Milady 9286 is the NFT under question. Buterin quickly set his just-obtained digital collection as his X profile picture, thus strengthening his link to the initiative.
