9 July 2021 — HONG KONG — Animoca Brands announced today the public alpha launch of REVV Racing on 11 August 2021, which will include the Alpha Inaugural, a racing event with prizes worth USD150,000. REVV Racing is an upcoming arcade simulation car racing blockchain game being built on Polygon (formerly Matic), and is the latest addition to the REVV Motorsport ecosystem.
Various events allowing users to earn a level 1 car NFT for the new game will be launched in the weeks leading up to the alpha launch of REVV Racing and the start of the Alpha Inaugural racing event.
The Alpha Inaugural: racing event with USD150k in prizes (11-17 August 2021)
The public alpha release of REVV Racing begins on 11 August 2021 with the Alpha Inaugural, a seven-day competitive racing event offering a total of USD150,000 in prizes. A REVV Racing car NFT is required to play. Players will compete for the fastest lap times using their REVV Racing car NFTs in a traditional first and third person view racing experience, with complete control of their car on track.
The top prizes in the Alpha Inaugural event are 12,000 USD for first place, 9,000 USD for second place, and 4,500 USD for third place, with a grand total of 1,000 prizes up for grabs. A full list of the prizes is available here.
Prizes will be paid out in REVV tokens in amounts to be determined based on the approximate exchange rate for USD and REVV after the completion of the 7-day event.
REVV holders to be rewarded with free car NFTs (16 July 2021)
Wallets holding at least 8,000 REVV tokens as of 16 July 2021 at 5 p.m. (UTC) will be airdropped a free level 1 REVV Racing car NFT that can be used to play in REVV Racing. Additional car NFTs will be airdropped to wallets holding 12,000 and 20,000 REVV tokens, up to a maximum of three NFTs per wallet.
The airdrop will take place on 23 July 2021 or shortly after. In order to qualify for the airdrop, users are required to hold their REVV tokens in a wallet, such as MetaMask, that can be connected to the Polygon network and that has a balance detectable by Etherscan.
SAND, GMEE, LMT, TOWER, SUPER liquidity/staking events to earn car NFTs
Level 1 REVV Racing car NFTs will be distributed via liquidity and staking events organized by Animoca Brands and its subsidiaries and partners. Liquidity events will be held by The Sandbox (SAND), GAMEE (GMEE), and the Tower Token (TOWER). Staking events will be held by Lympo (LMT) and SuperFarm (SUPER). Holders of NinjaSticker NFTs and CoinGecko REVV event NFTs
REVV Racing car NFTs will be airdropped to holders of NinjaSticker NFTs and CoinGecko REVV event NFTs. In order to qualify for the airdrop, users are required to hold their tokens in a wallet, such as MetaMask, that can be connected to the Polygon network.
Additional REVV Racing car NFT earn events will be announced leading up to the Alpha Inaugural launch taking place on 11 August 2021.
Note that each REVV Racing car NFT carries a livery and metadata tag that is specific to the event in which it is earned, and is not available elsewhere.
