Chiru Labs, a renowned web3 studio focused on shaping the future of storytelling and the crypto team behind the popular Azuki non-fungible token collection, has dived deeper into the anime world and introduced a new domain, Anime.com, which they strongly believe would be the new way to anime. The Azuki NFT creator has launched tokenized anime stickers to mark this launch.

The Azuki NFT Creator Introduces Anime.com Domain
In a September 13 blog post, the Azuki NFT creator confirmed introducing a new non-fungible token domain duped anime.com through its Azuki X account. The new product is part of its larger plan to boost its Azuki Entertainment Division. The Azuki NFT team anticipates maintaining its relevance in the crypto market not only through selling NFTs but also through the creation of short-form content.

Even though the Azuki NFT team, led by Zagabond, has not shared much information about the project, the Azuki team is focused on creating its one-of-a-kind open anime universe. By description, animes are hand-drawn and computer-generated animations that initially originated in Japan. The Azuki NFT team appears following the footprints of Doodles, which is still working on the same cartoon universe.
The Azuki’s new product appears just a few weeks after the Azuki team hired former Hollywood powerhouses Mark Goffman and Jessica Turner to support the team in crafting a multi-year roadmap to bring Azuki to the masses through user-generated content. While ushering the new team, Zagabond, the founder of the Azuki and Beanz NFT projects, remarked:
“Web3 native IPs has proven to be able to attract strong communities with short form content. While this is perfect for social media, we’re ready to take our storytelling even further. With Azuki reaching more and more people, there’ll be more chances for holders’ IPs to be licensed and used. Plus, we’ll see more demand for exclusive NFTs that represent our characters and membership in the Azuki club.”
Mark Goffman is a former Consulting Executive Producer at Hollywood, the oldest film industry in Las Angeles, United States, where the earliest film studios and movie production companies emerged. On the other hand, Jessica Turner, a former marketing lead at Hollywood, has an extensive franchise development background for Harry Potter, among other leading projects.
The Future Of Anime Storytelling
Earlier last month, the Azuki team introduced their first mini-short cartoon film duped as Mizuki using its Elemental #9195 NFT collection. This new short-form, social-first content created on the Azuki universe was aimed at enticing new audiences in the NFT sector with moments from Azuki characters’ stories. By introducing Mizuki and leveraging the power of User Generated Content (UGC), the Azuki team paves the way for a more dynamic and inclusive future in anime storytelling.
