The Popcat price jumped 15% in the last 24 hours to trade at $0.5513 as of 4:45 a.m. EST on trading volume that surged 26% to $145 million.

Popcat is a meme coin that launched in late 2023, and that’s soared more than 100% in the past month, reaching an all-time high yesterday of $0.6277.

That run has catapulted into the top 10 meme coins with a market capitalization of almost $600 million.

As mentioned, the POPCAT price blew up over the past few days to the point where it even reached an ATH less than 24 hours ago. However, the token has since seen a slight correction to its current price of $0.55 despite having a still-strong performance over 24 hours.

While sharp surges are typically followed by sharp corrections, the fact that the crypto market is currently trading in the green could mean that POPCAT could get a new chance at growth.

The token’s technical indicators clearly show that POPCAT was preparing to correct by a significant amount, but then the shift in a broader market sentiment seemingly stopped this.

For example, POPCAT’s Bollinger bands saw significant widening yesterday, leading up to the token hitting its ATH, only to then suddenly see a sharp narrowing. Then, at one point, the narrowing stopped, and the bands are currently frozen in position, waiting to see what the traders will do next.

Something similar can be noticed by observing the project’s Relative Strength Index (RSI) score, which delved deep into the overbought zone yesterday, climbing up past the value of 80. As traders started to take profit, the RSI value started to drop, mirroring this behavior, and it sank to the neutral zone earlier today.

Then, instead of continuing its drop to the oversold zone, it simply stopped and is currently maintaining a balance just under the value of 50, also waiting to see what the traders will do next.

Popcat Price At A Crossroads

This puts POPCAT at a crossroads, with neither bulls nor bears currently in control. While this means that POPCAT could blow up anew, it might also mean that the drop could continue if the market suddenly turns bearish. In other words, the project finds itself in an uncertain position, waiting to see what will happen next. Its next move will likely be decided by the broader market unless one side can tip the scales in its favor.

For the moment, POPCAT finds itself in a truly neutral position, and it could go either way.

While Popcat and several other cat-based meme coins are among the top performers right now, new meme coins that are based on things and creatures other than cats and dogs are challenging for dominance.
