Pudgy Penguins, the digital asset company and the NFT team behind the globally acknowledged non-fungible token collections, Pudgy Penguins and Lily Pudgy, continue gaining global audience in various sectors. Just two years after entering the toy market and taking over dominance, the team has invaded and taken over the gaming sector, with the recent launch of their new “Pudgy Party” non-fungible token game.

Pudgy Party Game Takes Crypto X By Storm

Earlier this month, Igloo Inc. launched its highly anticipated Pudgy Party non-fungible token game. Igloo is the digital asset incubation studio behind Pudgy Penguins, a non-fungible token collection featuring a limited edition of 8,888 penguin birds hosted on the Ethereum, and Lil Pudgy, a non-fungible token collection featuring a limited set of 22,222 NFTs also hosted on the Ethereum.

Pudgy Penguins announced plans for NFT-integrated games in partnership with Mythical Games in May 2024, which included the launch of their mobile party game, Pudgy Party, and the larger online world game, Pudgy World. The partnership was confirmed in December 2024, with a blog post from Mythical Games stating the NFT game would be launched in 2025, following over six months of development.

At the beginning of September, the Pudgy Penguins and Mythical games NFT team finally delivered their highly anticipated “Pudgy Party” non-fungible token game after over six months of incubation. Pudgy Party is a mobile, multiplayer party royale NFT game, featuring penguin characters from the Pudgy Penguins NFT collection. The game allows up to 20 players to race, stumble, and fall through chaotic obstacle courses and elimination rounds.

The Pudgy Party game incorporates blockchain technology, though it is largely hidden from the casual player. Some in-game cosmetic items, like limited-edition costumes, can be minted into NFTs and traded on the Mythical Games marketplace. Players compete in various fast-paced mini-games, including knockout races and survival challenges. The NFT game is designed to be chaotic and fun, with an emphasis on “meme-driven humor”.

How To Mint NFTs In The Game

The Pudgy Party is free-to-play and designed to be accessible to a wide audience, including those with no prior knowledge of NFTs or blockchain. To mint NFTs in the game requires users to go to the Mythical Market website, create an account, go to settings in Pudgy Party, and connect the account. The Pudgy Party gamers also require $MYTH, an interoperable utility token for Web3 gaming, used for governance and transactions within its ecosystem.

Currently, there are three types of NFTs to get in the Pudgy Part NFT game. These NFTs include Power Pudgy, which are available through a physical giveaway with a code from ComicCon, In-game unlockable NFTs, which are costumes that are NFTs right away when you unlock them through the game, and minted in-game NFTs, which are upgraded costumes to NFTs via minting.
