Mazzanti Automobili has announced the launch of its security token offerings (STO) on the investment platform of STOKR, a Luxemburg-based digital marketplace. This move has now made the supercar maker the first supercar manufacturer to raise funds in digital assets.
Mazzanti was founded in 2002 and has grown to become one of the popular hand-crafted hyper car-makers in the world. It is based in Italy and makes customized hypercars in Pisa.
It offers three supercar models – the Evantra Millecavalli, Walter Faralli, and Luca Mazzanti – which are tailored and personalized to meet the single customer’s requirements.
A Mazzanti supercar goes for at least $800,000, with more customized premium models offered for around $1.2 million.
Now, the company has opened the doors for investors on STOKR to buy the Mazzanti-issued token “MZZ” for $1 per token. An investor is allowed to buy at least $50 value of the tokens, which entitles them to a 50% share in the sale of the company’s Evantra Millecavalli model.
Blockchain AMP to be used for the token
Blockchain AMP will issue the token, as it is built on the Liquid sidechain of Bitcoin which has already been integrated with STOKR.
Founder of Mazzanti Luca Mazzanti stated that giving investors to own a stake in the company’s profits through STO is an important moment for the company.
He added that the project is a continuation of the company’s pursuit of innovation and excellence. Mazzanti added that the company has recognized that security tokens will be important to the firm for global inclusion and expansion.
Customers can now purchase Evantra models with Bitcoin
In addition to the STO, Mazzanti also stated that the firm will open the door for customers to buy all editions of the Evantra car model using Bitcoin from February 25.
Mazzanti said STOKR was chosen as the investment platform for the company because of the platform’s easily deployable solutions
The digital marketplace also helps both professional and retail investors to engage with and fund projects via the user-friendly platform.
