In order to launch a Dogecoin-funded journey to the moon by early next year, Elon Musk’s SpaceX has teamed up with two blockchain startups, according to a media report on Wednesday.
Unizen, a smart exchange ecosystem, and ZenX, a decentralised financial incubator, will construct the DOGE-1 CubeSat. This tiny satellite will be put into a lunar orbit and collect data from space using cameras, sensors, and mirrors.
The CubeSat will be launched as a result of a launch contract with Elon Musk’s SpaceX FalconX, and because blockchain technology is its foundation, it will offer a new use case for cryptocurrencies, according to the article.
