Hyperliquid Price Soars, But Traders Rush To Buy This Meme Coin

The Hyperliquid price soared 45% in the last 24 hours to trade at $8.90 as of 08:19 p.m. EST on trading volume that plunged 15% to $361 million, according to CoinGecko.

HYPE, the newly launched token of Hyperliquid, a decentralized perpetual trading platform and Layer 1 chain, has continued to surge just two days after its launch.

This comes after the project distributed a massive 310 million HYPE tokens to its community, valuing the giveaway at $1.2 billion based on the initial token price of $3.90.

Hyperliquid Price Could Continue Surging

The Hyperliquid price is currently moving within an ascending channel, as evidenced by the blue lines marking higher highs and higher lows. This reflects a bullish trend on the 1-hour timeframe, with the HYPE price steadily increasing over the observed period.

The RSI is currently at 70.68, which is near the overbought territory. This suggests that the asset might be overextended and could experience a short-term pullback or consolidation as buyers take profits. However, in a strong uptrend, RSI can remain overbought for extended periods.

HYPE has respected the channel’s boundaries. A breakout above the upper line would be a bullish signal for continuation. If the current trend is sustained, the price of Hyperliquid could still surge, as the bulls aim at breaching the $10 resistance, as they target a new all-time high (ATH) at $11.

A breakdown below the lower channel line, especially with increasing volume, might trigger a short-term correction. Furthermore, the RSI near the overbought zone suggests some consolidation or minor pullback is likely before the next big move.

If a minor pullback could push the Hyperliquid price down, the $6.2 support could act as the next possible level for a cushion against downward pressure.
