CyberKongz, the digital asset company behind the blue-chip CyberKongz non-fungible token collection, has announced plans to launch its utility token dubbed “$KONG.” The now highly anticipated non-fungible token coin will represent the CyberKongz and the non-fungible token culture. CyberKongz Introduces $KONG NFT Coin

In an August 19 blog post, the CyberKongz NFT team confirmed that it has introduced its utility token called $KONG. This newly launched non-fungible token coin will represent the CyberKongz and non-fungible token culture. $KONG will replace the existing $Banana NFT token. $Banana is a utility token within the CyberKongz NFT ecosystem. This token was not launched as an investment and has no intrinsic economic value, but it powers various in-game mechanics and interactions within the CyberKongz NFT world.

Founded on March 03, 2021, CyberKongz is a non-fungible token collection featuring unique and randomly generated 2D/3D NFT Social Avatars compatible with online gaming. The CyberKongz NFT collection started as a generative collection of 1,000 34×34 pixelated NFT gorillas, known as the Genesis Collection. Subsequently, the CyberKongz NFT team has launched an additional 4,000 NFTs, created through breeding in the CyberKongz ecosystem.

The CyberKongz NFT project started at a minting price of 0.01 ETH. At the time of the launch, the profile picture NFT projects were considered rare, but the collection drew a lot of interest from NFT enthusiasts who discovered the minting process on the OpenSea NFT market platform. The NFT project was fully minted in two days. Just 7 months later, the NFT CyberKongz #445 sold for 208 ETH, which was then equivalent to almost 750,000 USD.

Today, CyberKongz still holds the record for the highest floor price of a PFP collection and has cemented its legacy through constant innovation. CyberKongz is also known for trailblazing the use of ERC-721 and ERC-20 token integration. The CyberKongz NFT project was created by the digital artist “Myoo” and remains one of the most active non-fungible community projects to this day.

$KONG NFT Coin Explained

$KONG is the liquidity token representing CyberKongz, letting non-fungible token enthusiasts, supporters, and anyone in or out of the space to find a home in web3 and be part of the culture that CyberKongz created, which now permeates throughout the entire non-fungible token space. Holding the upcoming $KONG NFT coin will make holders a Kong and give them access to all the perks of the ecosystem.

The KONG token is deep-rooted in history, lore, and altering distribution mechanics. $KONG is a reimagination of history, upgraded and designed for a brighter future. The KONG features a fixed edition of 1 billion. In its upcoming token generation event, which will be announced later, the CyberKongz NFT team will release 385,463,979, representing 38% of the total token supply. Out of this, the CyberKongz NFT team has allocated 2% to the Ethereum NFT community.

The CyberKongz has also allocated 4.01% to its team, 3.97% to the investors, 6.35% to treasury, and 28.2% for the Banana token conversion. It has also allocated 13.4% for burn and 42% for future distribution. Distribution will take place on a seasonal basis and will be exclusively distributed to Genesis Holders, Baby Holders, and $KONG stakers, through a new design called Kongz Hub.
