Dogs is celebrating what it calls the biggest airdrop in meme coin history after more than 17 million people claimed tokens in just two weeks.
Over 53 million users have joined the Dogs Mini App, according to a Sept. 10 Telegram post by the TON community. Of these users, 42.2 million are eligible for the token distribution event (TGE).
This makes the meme coin’s airdrop the “largest meme TGE in cryptocurrency history,” said the TON community.
Only USDT On Tron And Ethereum Have More Unique Holders Than DOGS
The number of daily active addresses for DOGS has reached 1.1 million, according to the Telegram post.
DOGS also boasts 4.5 million unique wallets on the TON network. This, according to the Telegram community, puts the meme coin in a unique position. “Only USDt on TRON and Ethereum have more holders than DOGS,” the TON channel said.

Over the past 24 hours, the DOGS price has climbed more than 4% to trade at $0.001063 as of 8:34 a.m. EST.
Bigger Airdrops Than DOGS Expected On TON Ecosystem, Including Hamster Kombat
The TON community predicts that airdrops for Hamster Kombat and Catizen will be “even larger” than that of DOGS.
“In September, we anticipate even larger TGEs for Catizen and Hamster Kombat, which could bring tens or even hundreds of millions of users to the blockchain for the first time,” the community said in the post.
