A comment by Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao, aka CZ, sent the 4 meme coin skyrocketing, helping one investor turn a $3k trade into $2 million in just hours.
Zhao’s tweet on X highlighted a hacker who dumped his 4 tokens for a $4,000 gain, calling it the “funniest comeback by the community” after the meme coin surged nearly 20,000% in the past week
“Interestingly, after the hacker dumped ALL his tokens for a $4k gain, the community took over and bought the meme coin higher, as a mock to the hacker,” CZ said in his X post.
Following CZ’s post, the 4 price surged to an all-time high of $0.2 earlier today before falling back. It’s now up 12% in the past 24 hours to trade at $0.1702 as of 4:16 a.m. EST, according to CoinMarketCap.

Trading volume for the meme coin topped $79 million in the past 24 hours.
Trader Makes $2 Million On 4 Bet
Among those who bought the token when it collapsed was a trader identified by the wallet address “0x872.” The wallet was one of the earlier buyers of the token, according to on-chain analytics firm Lookonchain.
In an X post, the firm said that the trader’s initial $3,000 worth of BNB had grown to $2 million, marking a roughly 650x return on investment.

Lookonchain says that the trader has sold 5.12 million 4 tokens for 110 BNB, or $118.7K. The trader still holds 11.75 million 4 tokens worth $1.88 million, and the person’s portfolio currently has more than 98% exposure to the meme coin as well.
That trader was not the only person to buy up 4 tokens after the hacker dumped the meme coin. Some of the industry’s most successful crypto traders in terms of returns also purchased the meme coin, according to Nansen data.
The 4 meme coin was also the third-most-bought token in the past 24 hours by “smart money” traders, after these traders acquired nearly $100K worth of tokens, the Nansen data shows.
Another unknown wallet had purchased the 4 meme coin minutes before CZ’s post as well, and achieved $1.5 million in profit just hours after the trade, according to a Wednesday X post by Bubblemaps.
4 Token Created In Aftermath Of BNB Chain X Account Hack
The 4 token was created in the aftermath of a recent BNB Chain X account hack. Once compromised, the account was used to share phishing links, resulting in $8K stolen across all chains, BNB Chain said in an update regarding the security incident.
The biggest victim of the attack was an investor who lost $6.5K. After injecting $17.8K into the 4 meme coin token, the trader then exited “100% of his meme tokens for $22K,” the account added.
It did not take long for the crypto community to mock the attacker by boosting the token’s price after he excited his position.
Traders Make Big Money On Meme Coins
The recent 650-fold gain for the 4 token trader is not the first time a trader has struck it big on a meme coin. While lighthearted in nature, highly-volatile meme coins have led to life changing gains for traders over the years. This is especially true for meme coins that gain strong community backing.
Another recent example of a meme coin trader achieving meteoric gains happened in March, when a trader turned a $2,000 investment into as much as $43 million by buying the now-popular frog-themed token Pepe (PEPE).
However, that trader opted to hold onto PEPE even as the meme coin suffered a 74% decline from its all-time high. This saw the trader’s unrealized profits shrink from $43 million to $10 million when the trader sold.
Over the past 24 hours, the collective capitalization of meme coins dropped over 2% to around $73.98 billion, according to CoinMarketCap data.
