Yuga Labs, the digital asset firm and the company behind the popular Bored Ape Yacht Club project continues expanding its web3 vision. The digital asset firm has filed a new trademark application for its trending Made By Ape vibe.

Yuga Labs Files New Trademark Application

In an August 2 blog post, NeerMcd.eth, an accredited intellectual property attorney, confirmed that the Bored Ape Yacht Club creator “Yuga Labs” filed two trademark applications with United States Patents and Trademark Office related to NFTs on July 29.

Established in 2021, Yuga Labs is a digital asset firm renowned for launching some of the most successful NFT projects, including Mutant Ape Yacht Club, Otherdeed for Otherside, Bored Ape Kennel Club, Koda NFTs, and Bored Ape Yacht Club. The NFT startup also owns the intellectual property for CryptoPunks and Meebits.

Based on the data submitted, Yuga Labs seeks to trademark the term “Made By Ape” logo and use it to launch digital assets. The digital asset firm anticipates using the logo to launch sunglasses; entertainment services provide online, non-downloadable virtual artwork, memes, pictures, clothing, headwear, eyewear, jewelry, and paper goods authenticated with NFTs.

Yuga Labs has also showcased plans to launch trading cards, bags, sports bags, backpacks, sports equipment, art, toys, beverage containers, food, drinks, beverages, smoking-related goods, & accessories for use in virtual environments, all authenticated with non-fungible tokens.

Made by Apes is an exclusive platform tailored for Bored Ape Yacht Club and Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFT holders. This platform allows holders to request to use the “Made by Apes” logo for projects that incorporate your apes. Each license has a unique number recorded on the blockchain, courtesy of our partner, SaaSy Labs. The term has recently gained traction among investors and businesses.
