Shiba Inu (SHIB) has, over the past few months, dropped futuristic teasers, with the current one coming from the lead developer Shytoshi Kusama. According to a tweet made on X, Kusama hinted that there could be a collaboration between Shiba Inu and DeLorean Motor. The post mentions the iconic actor Christopher Lloyd, who was featured in the famous “Back to the Future” movie franchise, and DeLorean Motor with a vague statement – “Collect your FREE time capsule now for a chance up at some furtastic prizes!”
Taking a critical look at the post, we observed that Shytoshi’s tweet was a response to a video shared by DeLorean Motor. In the short video, a bagman who appeared to have come from the future came out of his car and handed a mysterious suitcase to Lloyd. Interestingly, a Shiba Inu began to bark from the kitchen. Lloyd then opened the briefcase and found an object dubbed a “time capsule from the future.”
The video was captioned – “Two old friends finally reunite,” referring to DeLorean Motor and Christopher Lloyd.

Lucie Comments on the Possible Shiba Inu and DeLorean Partnership
Commenting on this, Shiba Inu’s marketing lead, Lucie, explained that DeLorean could be making a serious move into electronic cars and could partner with Shiba Inu. According to her, this possibility could be a game changer for both the brand and the Shib community. Adding to this, Lucie pointed out that DeLorean Motor’s involvement and support of Shiba Inu could “be a big deal” for the ecosystem. However, she questioned whether they could beat Elon Musk and Doge.
