Tether Operations Limited, a leading company in the digital asset industry, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RAK Digital Assets Oasis (RAK DAO). This MoU marks the initial step toward launching several strategic initiatives aimed at fostering the adoption of Bitcoin technology and stablecoins in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), the northernmost emirate of the United Arab Emirates. The collaboration will see Tether and RAK DAO work together to facilitate the adoption of crypto payments in the region and develop blockchain-focused educational programs.

Partnership to Drive Crypto Adoption and Blockchain Education

RAK DAO is the world’s first and only common law Free Zone dedicated to digital and virtual asset companies. It is central to the region’s efforts to advance Web3 innovation and stimulate economic growth in the emirate. Recently, Tether launched its educational arm, Tether Edu, which will spearhead initiatives for individuals of varying skill levels. These initiatives will cover advanced fields such as Bitcoin, blockchain, peer-to-peer technologies, stablecoin adoption, and practical use cases of crypto.

To date, RAK DAO has attracted interest from over 100 businesses. Consequently, Tether will work closely with RAK DAO on comprehensive initiatives designed to educate and empower local businesses, creating new opportunities for growth and innovation.
