- IOTA’s lead developer Hans Moog said that although the MVP is feature complete, they still need some cleanup to do to make it mainnet ready.
- In another development, IOTAbee has clocked more than $1 million in total value locked (TVL) on the IOTA blockchain network.
The IOTA developers have been working on the IOTA 2.0 infrastructure launch ahead of this year. Last week, the developer team tested the GoShimmer DevNet.
However, after testing the in-memory conflict PR, the GoShimmer Development Network went offline and continues to stay as it as of now. As a result, the developers are yet to test the “conflict DAG”-PR running effectively on the platform.
GM #IOTA Fam,
another day, another Dev-Update.
1⃣ The #GoShimmer Development Nework is still offline. So we haven’t seen the “conflict DAG”-PR running yet

IOTA’s lead developer Hans Moog provided an update for the minimum viable product (MVP). He noted that the MVP is almost feature complete as the team merged a last big PR while fixing some last known bugs and addressing the performance issues. He further added:
Large parts of the code are still not properly documented, tested and optimized, which means that we still have some work left before we are “ready for mainnet” but we already started to work on this transitioning process.
I am really looking forward to continue this final cleanup process as we are finally able to progress fast, without having to solve “conceptual challenges” around the general design where each consecutive update will only result in a simpler and more performant code-base, that will make it easier to understand the complex interactions of all the different components.
However, this code debugging, cleaning, and optimizing process will still take a few weeks from here.
Transitioning to the Mainnet
With all the development activity currently taking place on IOTA, the transition of the MVP onto the mainnet will take some more time. Guessing about the same, ID.iota stated that this should tentatively happen by the year-end.
Additionally, there was a drop in the GitHub Activity over the last weekend. However, the analyst adds that there’s a lot of work going around the Hive.Go library while making it work with the latest update on the MVP.
ID.iota noted: “MVP is coming. Give them (IOTA) developers) a little more time to have a solid official release. We don’t want to run into a lot of unexpected errors with the MVP release. It remains soon, but the soon is getting closer”.
In another development, IOTAbee has clocked more than $1 million in total value locked (TVL) on the IOTA blockchain network. IOTAbee is a multichain Swap + DEX product that has provided liquidity for SMR, SOON and SHIMMER to more than 3000 customers so far.
Exciting news! 🥳
Iotabee has reached over $1 million in total value locked (TVL) on the #IOTA network!
