Cryptocurrency payment app, Wirex has entered into a global partnership with the digital payments company VISA.

According to a press release announcing the international deal, the partnership will allow Wirex to broaden its reach in the U.K. and the Asia-Pacific region (APAC). According to the statement, Wirex intends to expand its user base and issue “crypto-enabled debit and prepaid cards” to customers in over 40 countries globally.
This move builds upon the current relationship between the two companies. Wirex has been working with Visa on crypto-linked Visa debit cards in the U.S. and Wirex’s principal membership status with Visa in Europe.
The London-based cryptocurrency company already serves over 5 million users. Through its partnership with Visa, the company aims to continue its pursuit of the widespread adoption of digital assets and expand its reach to even more potential customers. The partnership will enable Wirex to leverage its established and successful service to grow its customer base.
