MEET48, a Web3-based interactive platform that combines NFT, AI, and direct fan voting, has just caught the attention of a major investor. YZi Labs, Binance’s strategic investment arm, has officially injected funds into the project through the MVB (Most Valuable Builder) program run by BNB Chain.
But this is no ordinary investment—the goal is to transform the way fans interact with their idols, not just through screens, but also through blockchain.
MEET48 itself is known for its gamification approach to the idol ranking system. Behind the scenes, the platform embeds the IDOL token as the main driver of its activities. The token will later be used by fans for voting, participating in virtual concerts, and purchasing digital merchandise.
Interestingly, the peak event of the entire ecosystem has been prepared: the “Web3.0 Global Idol Annual Popularity Contest,” which will be held at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong, on August 2, 2025.

MEET48 Lets Fans Control Idol Rankings Through Blockchain Voting
While fans usually can only cheer from a distance or just buy posters, at MEET48 they really have a voice. Through a transparent voting system on the blockchain, the position of idols is not determined by the agency, but by the community. This model is like bringing a small democracy to the entertainment world.
Not long after the announcement of YZi Labs’ investment, the market immediately responded. The IDOL token soared by 50% in a matter of hours. Binance CEO, CZ, even shared this news through his official channel—which further strengthens the assumption that this project has high prospects. Not a few crypto fans are starting to look at projects that combine fandom and technology like MEET48.
YZi Labs Expands Web3 Vision With Strategic Multi-Sector Investments
On the other hand, in early June they also announced an investment in OneKey, an open-source hardware wallet provider that focuses on crypto asset security. This wallet is designed to be used by anyone, both individuals and institutions who wants to control their own digital assets without the hassle of technical matters.
Furthermore, in late May, YZi Labs injected funds into Avalon Labs—a Bitcoin-based ecosystem that includes services such as loans, stablecoins, and credit cards. This platform has reached more than 300 thousand users and recorded more than 20 thousand BTC in its ecosystem. The big goal is to make Bitcoin a part of everyday financial life, not just a dormant asset.
There’s one more. As we reported in March, YZi Labs has also invested in Plume Network, a Layer 2 blockchain that focuses on the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA). This project makes it easy for institutions and individuals to enter the blockchain world without having to understand the technicalities in depth. So it can be said that they are building a big foundation in various Web3 sectors—from security, finance, to entertainment.
MEET48 may look like an ordinary entertainment project, but this investment shows another direction. There is an attempt to combine fan emotions, a transparent voting system, and the power of the digital economy in one system. IDOL Token is not just a transaction tool, but also a symbol of active involvement.
If the event plan for August goes smoothly, it is not impossible that MEET48 will become a pioneer of the Web3 fan economy in Asia. Interestingly, this project is not starting from zero. They already have millions of active users and communities spread across various countries. So, it’s just a matter of time until the Web3 flag flies on the concert stage.
