Injective’s Lyora Mainnet upgrade proposal has finally passed unanimously. All on-chain voters agreed. Not 80%, not 95%, but 100%. That means no one voted against it. Moreover, the official launch took place today, April 22, 2025. Not only is it a sign that the network is ready to level up, this upgrade also opens the door to many new features that could affect Injective’s future direction.

Upgraded Mechanics for a Faster, Smarter Injective
One of the most noticeable changes is the presence of a dynamic fee mechanism. Just imagine if you are in a hurry to send a transaction, and the system can adjust the fee so that your process is prioritized. This is one of the things that the Lyora upgrade offers.
The mempool system has also been overhauled so that more important transactions can be processed faster, especially when the network is congested.
On the other hand, performance and security in the core module have also been strengthened. Starting from increasing efficiency to system stability, everything is prepared so that the network remains resilient even though traffic is getting busier. The transition to version 1.15.0 began when the network was paused at block 114590000.
Furthermore, this move did not just come out of the blue. In the past few weeks, Injective has indeed been on the gas. For example, in early April 2025, they announced that they had recorded more than 1 billion on-chain transactions. This confirms their reputation as one of the fastest blockchains today.
Then, as we previously reported, Republic Crypto officially launched a validator on this network, adding to the list of large institutions that are securing Injective.
From Google Cloud to Tokenized Gold and Stocks
Not only that, on March 26, 2025, Injective partnered with Google Cloud to provide a more secure and efficient infrastructure for developers. This collaboration includes access to developer tools to the integration of Injective data into Google’s BigQuery. This means that application development on Injective will be faster and easier.
Meanwhile, on March 30, Helix—a DEX built on Injective—introduced a new feature: perpetual trading for tokenized stocks like GOOGL (Google stock). This opens up a new avenue for DeFi users looking to invest in assets that were previously only accessible through traditional stock markets.
Equally interesting, on April 18, 2025, Injective launched a tokenization platform for physical commodities like gold and silver. Through this system, ownership of physical assets can be converted into programmable digital contracts. They even have plans to expand this coverage to the energy, agriculture, and equity sectors.
However, not everything is moving in a pleasant direction. At the time of writing this article, the INJ token has actually fallen to around $8.38. Down 6.13% in the last 24 hours, and corrected more than 16% in the last 30 days. But with all this breakthrough, many believe this pressure is only temporary.
