Ark Invest Strategy: BTC, Coinbase, and ETFs
On the other hand, the investment plan of ARK Invest is not limited to Bitcoin. As we previously reported, the corporation sold 13,780 Coinbase Global Inc. (COIN) shares valued roughly $3.9 million in December 2024. The move was taken following increasing market volatility brought on by Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell’s forceful statement.
But just a few months later, on February 26, 2025, ARK Invest re-entered Coinbase, purchasing 41,032 shares valued at $8.7 million for the Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW).
Fascinatingly, this acquisition was done during a period of declining Coinbase shares, roughly 38% from their December peak. The choice made by ARK Invest reveals their faith in Coinbase’s long-term future despite the present erratic market sentiment.
Still, ARK’s approach went beyond that. The business also sold 98,060 Bitcoin spot ETF (ARKB) shares valued at $8.6 million concurrently. This shows ARK’s attempts to manage its exposure to digital assets and seize the expanding market momentum.
Expanding Investments into AI and Aviation
Apart from making crypto asset investments, ARK Invest has broadened its focus of investment into other industries. The business raised its Tempus AI and Archer Aviation interests on February 28, 2025. Archer Aviation was added 360,583 shares by the ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK), while Tempus AI was purchased by the ARK Genomic Revolution ETF (ARKG).
This expenditure reveals that ARK sees possibilities in the artificial intelligence and future transportation industries in addition to being concentrated on the world of digital assets. While Tempus AI concentrates on creating artificial intelligence-based health technology, Archer Aviation is known as a developer of electric vertical takeoff (eVTOL) aircraft.
Institutional Confidence in Bitcoin Remains Strong
