Since the beginning of 2025, the price of XRP has demonstrated impressive performance. Still, experts believe there is room for XRP to see a fivefold price increase before the year ends.
At the current $2.33, a five-times price rally will see XRP hit $11.65. Four key factors within the Ripple ecosystem suggest that this target is attainable.
Conclusion of the Ripple vs SEC Case
As previously mentioned in our report, Ripple Labs and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) ended their multi-year legal battle in a settlement. Ripple was asked to pay just $50 million for the alleged sales of unregistered securities to institutional investors, a significant reduction from the $125 million fine earlier imposed by the court.
The price of XRP jumped from a low price of $2.226 to a high of $2.562 after the SEC dropped the case. Before this spike, XRP exploded by 580% from $0.50 to a multi-year high of $3.40 after President Donald Trump won the November election.
XRP could repeat this bullish pattern and surge by another 580% after the court approves the settlement. As a result, the price could reach $15.64 before the end of 2025, representing an over 5x rally.
Regulatory Clarity from the GENIUS Act
In a previous article, we discussed the US Senate’s advancement of the GENIUS stablecoin Act. The revised bill seeks to impose stricter standards on foreign stablecoin issuers, requiring higher reserve and liquidity thresholds to ensure financial stability.
The GENIUS Act incorporates a dual regulatory approach, balancing state and federal oversight while enhancing consumer protection and risk mitigation. This bill will bode well for US-native stablecoins such as Ripple’s RLUSD.
If RLUSD attains around 1% of USDT’s $150 billion valuation, its market capitalization will rise to $1.5 billion from the current $312 million by the end of 2025. If the XRP price also maintains the same growth rate, it may surge 5x and reach the $11.75 target by year’s end.
Ripple’s Advancement as a Payment Firm
Ripple is well-recognized for its contribution to facilitating fast cross-border transactions. As our recent blog post outlined, the blockchain firm expanded its institutional reach with a $1.25 billion acquisition of Silk Road.
This acquisition positions Ripple as the first crypto company to own and operate a global, multi-asset prime broker in the evolution of digital asset markets. Besides this acquisition, Ripple is also reportedly in talks to acquire the largest US stablecoin issuer, Circle.
If Ripple acquires Circle, the price of XRP is targeted to surge between $5 and $12 before the end of 2025. Moreover, Ripple has announced its expansion into the Middle East and Africa, pushing its boundaries as a payment firm moving forward.
The Bitcoin Rally Push
Bitcoin (BTC) price is inching closer to an All-Time High (ATH), only seven months before 2025 ends.
The king coin is anticipated to top out at $110,000 or $125,000 before altcoin season begins. As BTC hits an ATH, the XRP price could outperform other top altcoins, as seen in the late 2024 and early 2025 bull market.
If history repeats, XRP could see a 5-fold rally, pushing the price into the $10 region before 2025 ends.
