Polkastarter Gaming will be hosting the inaugural GAM3 AWARDS on December 15 in search of the best web3 games across a full spectrum of genres and categories. The awards will focus on a gameplay-first approach highlighting the exciting new gameplay and item mechanics available through blockchain technology.
While web3 gaming may have taken off in 2021 with the rise of NFT-based games and the promise of high returns, The GAM3 AWARDS looks to reward the web3 games that excel in serving the core focus of video games; entertainment.
The awards will be decided on by the community and an expert jury panel including CryptoSlate’s senior journalist, Liam ‘Akiba’ Wright along with dedicated community categories for special categories such as People’s Choice and Best Content Creator. For the main categories judging will be weighted 90% jury and 10% community.
In an exciting aspect of the panel, several of the judges are highly regarded as all-stars in the traditional gaming space such as Yoshihisa Hashimoto who directed Sonic: Unleashed and Final Fantasy XIV Online.
A selection of other judges announced by Polkastarter Gaming include:
- Sarutobi Sasuke, Head of Partnerships at YGG
- Dan Patterson, General Partner at Sfermion
- Brendan Wong, CEO at Avocado DAO
- Jesper Lindquist, Senior Manager Web3 Gaming at Animoca Brands
- Marco van den Heuvel, Co-Founder & CEO at Merit Circle
- David Hanson, Founder & CEO at Ultra
- John Izaguirre, BD Director at BNB Chain
- Abhimanyu Kumar, Co-Founder at Naavik
